This die seats the bullet in the case, and then gently squeezes the case around the bullet, forming a perfect taper crimp.

Like all RCBS dies, these dies are carefully machined to exacting tolerances, then hardened and hand finished.

The result is a quality reloading die that will offer a lifetime of use.

Notes:

• The crimp gently tapers tighter and tighter to hold the bullet in place.
• It does not affect the overall length of the cartridge.
• This is very important for semi-automatics where the cartridge headspaces on the case mouth.
• A Bullet seater is used to push (seat) the bullet down into the case to a specific depth.

“I got 3 of these as the price was right and thought RCBS brand would be good. I was surprised at the quality of both the die itself and the taper crimp results. Autoloaders usually space cartridges on the case mouth, so a roll crimp won’t work as well as a taper. Tried these dies out and and with a little adjustments to fit your press and reloading needs, you can produce factory quality or better. All cartridges pass the case checker dies ( get one for each case you reload- saves a lot of headache, believe me!).
